Earphones Guide - Everything You Need To Know About Earphones

You will benefit greatly from reading this guide on earphones. You will know everything there is to know about the topic - earphones. From now on you will never meet a situation where your limited knowledge on earphones would make you look like a fool haha. I know situations like these occur on a daily basis. Statement: Earphones are the best invention man has made, after the wheel. Proof: Man invented the wheel -> Man created the car... Man invented the mobile phone -> Man drove around "talking and driving -> Man got killed or seriously injured -> Man invented the earphone (with a microphone!) -> No more people killed themselves in the traffic -> The human race continued to prosper. Did you know that earbuds mean the same thing as earphones? There are two different kinds of earphones: Earbuds and in-ear headphones. Earbuds are essentially small speakers that are fitted in the outer ear (more specifically, the concha). They are very very portable and convenient to use given their small weight and size. On the other hand, they can be uncomfortable because of them being prone to slipping out of the ear. They offer virtually no isolation of outside noises and can so being be difficult to use in an outside environment. DANGER: Because of weak isolation, users are prone to turning the volume onto a dangerously high level! Earbuds are usually very cheap, although various models are available from higher price ranges as well. + PORTABLE + CONVENIENT - UNCOMFORTABLE - POOR ISOLATION In-ear headphones are otherwise utterly similar to earbuds despite the fact that they are inserted directly inside the ear canal itself (the external auditory meatus). In fact they are sometimes known as canalphones! In-ear headphones block out outside noise far better than earbuds by totally closing the ear canal. In addition, they are less likely to fall out of the ear. Portability is of course similar to earphones. This superiority against earbuds can, however, also be dangerous! If the canalphones block too much of the outer noises, safety may be compromised! There are two kinds of in-ear headphones: Universal canalphones come with a stock sleeve of either silicone, foam or elastomer. They offer surprisingly satisfying isolation even though they aren't custom-made. Custom canalphones are - you guessed it, custom! The manufacturer creates a cast of the ear canals and then creates custom-molded earphones! Similar material is used and the comfort with these is amazing! +PORTABLE +CONVENIENT +COMFORTABLE +VERY GOOD ISOLATION -> (-) POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS! I hope you liked this article.
